Pilates Based 1-2-1 Personal Training
By focussing on better breathing, pelvic alignment and spinal strength, Pilates can do for you what other sports and exercises cannot. In Pilates we focus on smooth, flowing movements, helping you tune into your own body and become more in control of your movements. The end result is a stronger, leaner body with a naturally better posture, making you look and feel your best every day.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise regimen that was invented by Joseph Pilates. The focus of this type of exercise is on balanced development of the body, and on building up core strength and flexibility. Pilates focuses the mind and body in a way other forms of exercise cannot, encouraging a truly deep understanding of your body and an effortless control over every movement that it makes.
What is it good for?
Pilates is practiced by a huge range of people, from elite athletes and professional dancers to pregnant women and those undergoing physical therapy after major trauma. It focusses on inner body strength, keeping the ‘core’ body, or powerhouse, at the centre of everything. This means it’s incredibly good for building up strength in the lower back, knees, shoulders and hips, helping tackle niggling pains, bad posture or recovery from injury.
Why choose Pilates Based 1-2-1 Personal Training?
Working on a one-to-one basis at your home or workplace, means Mark can customise your Pilates experience to deliver what you really need to achieve. Whether you’re looking to add strength to a particular area of your body, to achieve a slimmer figure or simply to gain more control over your physical movements, working individually with Mark will ensure these goals are met. Similarly, if you have special needs or requirements which a class would be unlikely to fulfil, choosing to work one-to-one will ensure your needs are catered for and that an effective, efficient programme is developed just for you.
